Julie Ganey, author of Good Enough (beginning March 14), was interviewed in the Chicago Tribune by Myrna Petlicki.
Here is an excerpt below:
“Sometimes, no matter how hard you try to do the right thing, you worry that you’re not “Good Enough.”
That’s what author and actor Julie Ganey ponders in her humorous one-person show, which will have its world premiere at the 16th Street Theater in Berwyn March 14-April 20. Performances are at 7:30 p.m. Thursdays and Fridays, 5 and 8 p.m. Saturdays, and 3 p.m. select Sundays.
The inspiration for this show came when Ganey began thinking about her experiences as a teaching artist in public schools in Chicago, “and trying to reconcile with the choices I made regarding my daughter’s education,” she said. “It’s something I’ve always wrestled with and, in ways, I’m still wrestling with it.”
