Box Office Manager 16th Street Theater
16th Street Theater, Berwyn’s professional theater company operating as a program of the North Berwyn Park District, is seeking a part-time Box Office Manager.

The Box Office Manager reports to the Managing Director and handles all box office and customer service operations as well providing support for the theater’s general office operations. Box office duties include processing single ticket sales, managing subscriptions, nightly reporting, and handling group sales. General office duties include administrative and artistic office tasks ranging from, but not limited to maintaining mailing and contact lists, assisting with marketing, working with volunteers, and assisting both the artistic director and managing director with organizational tasks. Ideal candidates must be quick learners comfortable with database systems who possess a professional and pleasant attitude, an aptitude for detail and accuracy and strong customer service skills. The ability to work Thursday through Saturday nights 26 weeks out of the year is a must. Box office/ticketing experience is ideal but not necessary, as is a working knowledge of Total Info or similar CRM-system. This is currently a part-time position (12 hours per week) with an hourly rate based on experience. There is a set schedule of Thursday through Saturday nights based on the theater’s production calendar with flexible day time hours when not in production. This position has real potential to grow both in pay rate, hours and responsibilities as 16th Street grows from a staff of two to three.

• Be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel. Familiarity with box office ticketing software such as Total Info or Tessitura is strongly preferred;
• Demonstrate a strong work ethic, reliability, stamina, passion, along with a positive attitude;
• Be able to work weekend evenings (Thursdays-Saturdays) during production (roughly 26-32 weeks per year).
